State Representative - District 167

Representative Jones is President and General Manager of J & L Coastal Holdings, a car wash company he and wife Lisa started in 2018.  In early 2018, Jeff and his wife Lisa sold Express Lube & Car Wash, a successful small business enterprise they owned and operated in Glynn County for over 23 years. Jeff and Lisa moved to Georgia and Glynn County in early 1992 when Jeff joined ABC Home Health, Inc. as its Vice President of Human Resources. Over his 20-year corporate career prior to putting down roots and calling Glynn County home, Jeff served as Human Resources Vice President and heled other corporate positions with KinderCare Learning Centers, Illinois Tool Works, Dillard Department Stores and Zale Corporation.

Locally, Jeff served four years as Board Chair for Safe Harbor Children’s Center, having served a total of 15 years on their board. Jeff also served as Board Secretary for the St. Simons Christian School and served on the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Red Cross boards. The Joneses are active in the St. Simons Community Church in a number of volunteer positions. In 2013, Jeff was elected Chairman of the Glynn County Republican Party, a position he held until he stepped down to devote all of his energies and efforts into winning the district 167 house race in 2015.

Jeff and his family are active supporters of Habitat for Humanity, where his wife Lisa serves as Board Secretary, CareNet Pregnancy Center, The Gathering Place and Children in Action youth ministries in addition to supporting a variety of other local charities. Jeff and Lisa have one son, Brant, currently a junior at the University of North Georgia.

During his first two terms in the Georgia House of Representatives, Jeff sponsored legislation to protect Georgia’s water resources from the dangers of coal ash contamination; worked to protect the integrity of Georgia’s voter system by stopping the issuance of drivers licenses to individuals without “lawful status” to be in our state, and worked to stem the flow of the millions of dollars that leave our state each year at the hands of human traffickers, drug dealers, gamblers and others; plus having worked on many other important legislative initiatives.

First elected to the Georgia State House in 2014, Jeff Jones proudly represents the citizens of District 167, which includes the northern half of Glynn, and all of Long and McIntosh counties. Representative Jeff Jones currently serves on the Insurance, Motor Vehicles (where he serves as Vice Chairman), Science & Technology and Interstate Cooperation committees in the House of Representatives.
